I would like to welcome you to Oxclose Community Nursery School. I hope this website gives you an insight into the care and nurture we offer so that all children can develop, learn and thrive while they are in our care. We are a Local Authority Nursery School situated in Washington, a town in Sunderland. The school currently offers provision for children aged 2 to 4 years old, during school term time. Our giant African snails, Everest, Skye and baby Turbo are out of hibernation and have returned to nursery 🐌🐌🐌

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising day for CHUF, a charity chosen in loving memory of our beautiful pupil Alfie, who will always be part of our nursery family 💙
Messy play was Alfie’s favourite kind of play and we honoured his memory today by getting extremely messy! We know Alfie will have been smiling down on us 💙
