This week, we have enjoyed some large scale mark making!
The children have used the step ladder to reach high up in Nursery and draw.
They were stretching their arms to see how high up they could reach!

This week, we have enjoyed welcoming back our returning children and saying hello to our new starters!
The children have enjoyed exploring the areas within nursery and making new friendships within their groups!
The children have been looking at recycling, litter in our community and the impact plastic pollution has on our oceans and wildlife.
With that in mind, we decided to go on a litter pick in our local area. It was a great success, we collected 4 bags of rubbish, a ironing board and we even found a shopping trolley.
A big thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us!
Last week, the children made fruit smoothies.
They have been practicing their chopping skills and chopping up the different fruits.
We talked about making healthy choices and trying different fruits.
We have been practicing keeping ourselves safe when using the knife and the blender.
We all enjoyed a taste of our healthy smoothies!
Some of the children in Blue Group planted potatoes and onions in September. We have been looking after them, watering them and watching them grow.
Last week, it was time to dig them up. The children were very excited when they were digging in the soil and found lots of potatoes of all different sizes.
They moved onto the onions, using their hands to pull them up.
We cooked the potatoes and tried them at snack time, they were delicious!
We used knives and scissors to chop and cut the onions into small pieces, we buttered our bread, sprinkled some onion and cheese onto the bread. Mrs Emmerson and Jade put them in the toastie maker.
We had them for snack, they were very tasty!
We have planted strawberry plants for next year.
We wonder if you are growing any fruit or vegetables at home. We would love to see photographs and hear all about it!
The children have taken an interest in playing shops and turned our outdoor area into a pizza shop!
We built a shop in our construction area and turned the art table into a pizza making station.
The children designed their own pizzas and created a menu that children could come and choose from and even made takeaway delivery boxes!
We are looking forward to making pizzas this week on the firepit!
Red Group have been making cowboy bread around the fire pit.
We started by making our dough using just flour and water. Once we made our dough, we rolled it out flat so we could cook it on the fire.
We revisited our safety rules and safety equipment that we need for using the firepit.
We watched as our cowboy bread sizzled in the pan and then all had a taste once it had cooled down!
It was delicious!
We had a wonderful time at Herrington Country Park. The rain did not stop us enjoying games and a picnic together!
Thank you to all of the families and children who made this day so special!
What a fun filled day we had at our Father’s Day Event!
Blue group enjoyed the sunshine this week and had a messy play day in the garden.
We had water, jelly, shaving foam, bubbles, gloop and the water hose to squirt all of our friends.
It was great to explore the different textures using our hands, feet and body.
We all got very wet, it was lots of fun!
