What a fun filled day supporting Children in Need!
To celebrate Nursery Rhyme week, we have been taking part in lots of activities based around our favourite Nursery rhymes.
We enjoyed cutting out characters from some of the counting nursery rhymes to make puppets. We used these to when we sang our songs.
We made marks to represent our favourite rhymes and used the nursery rhyme bag to sing all of our favourite songs.
This week Blue Group have enjoyed exploring our new
‘Light box’.
We looked at different coloured shapes and tried to fit them together to make pictures. The children made flowers, rockets and cars with lots of wheels on them.
We also matched the shapes together and counted how many we found.
Can you see how many shapes you can find around your home?
The children have been making their own poppies for Remembrance Day.
They have practised their cutting skills, using the scissors to cut out circles and silhouettes of soldiers.
The children explored different techniques using paint to make their poppies, such as finger painting, sponge painting, paintbrushes and using rulers.
This week we celebrated Children’s Book Week.
On Monday we shared our favourite stories with our friends and on Friday we enjoyed a book swop. What a busy week of reading!
